I have 5 options of support available for clients:

  • In Person Sessions: Either face-to-face sessions in my home office, which is safe environment, local to the M53 motorway, with many local bus links on the busy A552.
  • Online Sessions: If you are unable to attend in person, this will allow us to work around your busy schedule, without losing the benefits of face-to-face therapy sessions. It also works for anyone who lives anywhere in the UK to be supported.
  • Telephone Sessions: Can be held anywhere, with the only requirement being a quiet private space to talk openly and confidentially, again I can support anyone living in the UK.
  • IEMT: These are shorter more specific sessions, helping people to release emotional problems quickly, which is some cases has trapped them in unhelpful patterns of thinking and action for many years. This is something we can discuss on initial contact.
  • Walk & Talk Sessions: The Wirral is surrounded by beautiful, tranquil spaces, where we can walk & talk together. Ideal for those are aren’t comfortable in a closed face to face setting as it can be overwhelming. Talking therapy is not for everyone; some people may feel more comfortable talking away from me as they walk rather than face-to-face setting in a room, which can sometimes feel overwhelming.
The walk can be set in an area and pace that you feel comfortable with, this can include continuous walking or making use of benches located in the area, en route.A few caveats around walk & talk are around mobility issues, weather (appropriate clothing/footwear is a must). Your safety when walking remains with you. We will do a risk assessment prior to starting the walk the walk can be for all or part of the session. Obviously, weather permitting for all walks, although a walk in the rain can be therapeutic too!

How the counselling sessions work:

I want you to feel in control of your own journey to address the challenges you are facing. It may take as few as three to four sessions with me to refocus and realign your journey. As well as short term therapy, if you are seeking longer more thorough therapy sessions, I am able to offer contracts starting at an initial six sessions. During the sessions, I will complete reviews to catch any areas you may need further support, but also to highlight any areas you have made significant progress, even if sometimes it does not feel that way.

Every individual is so different, I will always strive to balance the number of sessions to fit your individual needs. If you are unsure on where to start I am happy to arrange a chat of the phone/zoom or via email completely free of charge.

What happens in the first session:

At our first session, we will use the time provided to go through a working agreement together to ensure you fully understand what counselling can offer and for me to understand your needs and goals. We will go through a brief initial assessment, discuss any previous counselling you may have had (if any). We can also explore why you have chosen to take the step into counselling sessions and what you want to achieve from counselling.

Therapy Sessions:

Each session will last for 60 minutes, and as agreed in our initial contact when booking your first session, the sessions will normally be on the same day and time will be allocated to you. If for any reason you need to change an appointment, I will try and accommodate within reason. The whole 60 minutes belongs to you, it is your time to share and communicate with me so I can help you get what you need from therapy.

Payment:

  • Each counselling session is £50, with a reminder being sent the evening prior to a session via email. ( We can discuss blocks of sessions at a slightly reduced rate)
  • Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer(Monzo Buisness) and is payable either in advance of your attendance or in-person in cash.
  • Long term counselling may require pre-payment if required, we may be able to agree a payment in blocks of six at a slight reduction in cost.

What if I have to cancel a session:

Sessions can be cancelled via phone call or text only, with as much notice as possible.

CANCELLATIONS WITHIN 24HRS OF YOUR APPOINTMENT WILL BE CHARGABLE.
